TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last Updated: November, 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to Tiffin Time. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Tiffin Time mobile application ("App") and the services provided through it. The App is operated by Tiffin Time Ltd ("we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. Our App offers both daily tiffin meal ordering and event catering services; these Terms apply to all such uses of the App.
By downloading, accessing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our App.
Definitions
In these Terms, the following definitions apply:
Account: The account created by you to access and use the App.
3. Content: Any information, text, graphics, or other materials uploaded, downloaded, or appearing on the App.
4. Order: Your request for Tiffin Meals placed through the App.
5. Tiffin Meals: Food items prepared and provided by Tiffin Providers.
6. Tiffin Providers: The independent food vendors who prepare and provide Tiffin Meals (including catering services) through our App.
7. Catering Order: An Order placed through the catering section of our App for event catering services (such as orders for events with a specified guest count, date, time, and menu), which involves obtaining a Quote from a Tiffin Provider.
8. Quote: A price proposal provided by a Tiffin Provider in response to a Catering Order request, detailing the estimated cost and details of the requested catering service.
9. Deposit: An upfront payment of a portion of the total catering price (typically 50%) required to confirm a Catering Order.
10. Final Payment: The remaining balance of the total catering price (typically 50%) charged automatically before the event (usually 7 days prior to the event date).
User, you, or your: Any person who accesses or uses the App (including customers and, where applicable, Tiffin Providers).
Eligibility and Account Registration
3.1 Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our App. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
3.2 Account Registration: To use our App, you must register and create an Account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed to keep it accurate and current.
3.3 Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account login credentials and for all activities that occur under your Account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account or any other breach of security.
3.4 One Account Per User: You may not create or maintain more than one Account. We reserve the right to terminate any duplicate accounts.
Using the App
4.1 License to Use: Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
4.2 Prohibited Uses: You agree that you will not:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Violate or infringe the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or rights of publicity.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App or any servers or networks connected to the App (for example, by transmitting worms, viruses, malware, or any code of a destructive nature).
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App, other users’ accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the App.
- Use any automated means (such as scripts, bots, or scrapers) to access the App for any purpose without our express written permission.
- Use the App to distribute unsolicited promotional or commercial content, or for any junk mail, spam, or pyramid schemes.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent yourself or your affiliation with any person or entity (including falsely implying that you are a representative of Tiffin Time).
- Collect, harvest, or store personal data about other users without their consent.
- Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the App’s functioning or interfere with any other party’s use of the App.
- Communicate or transact with any Tiffin Provider outside of the App for orders or catering services initiated through the App, or otherwise attempt to circumvent the App’s communication and payment processes.
4.3 Modifications to the App: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the App or any features or portions of it without prior notice. You agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the App or any part thereof.
Ordering Process
5.1 Placing Orders (Tiffin Meals): The App allows you to place orders for Tiffin Meals from Tiffin Providers. By placing an Order for a Tiffin Meal, you offer to purchase the meal(s) at the price and quantity indicated at checkout. Note: Catering Orders follow a different quote-based process (see Section 5.6 below).
5.2 Order Acceptance (Tiffin Meals): Orders for Tiffin Meals are subject to acceptance by the Tiffin Provider. A Tiffin Provider may, in its discretion, decline to accept an Order (for example, due to lack of availability or other reasons). No contract for a Tiffin Meal Order is formed until the Tiffin Provider accepts the Order. Once an Order is accepted, we will send you a confirmation through the App (and/or by email or notification).
5.3 Pricing and Payment: All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT (sales tax) where applicable. Prices for Tiffin Meals are set by the Tiffin Providers and may change at any time, but the applicable price for an Order will be the price displayed to you at the time you place the Order. Before you finalise an Order, the total price (including any applicable taxes and fees) will be shown. By confirming the Order, you agree to pay the total amount due. You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your selected payment method for all charges associated with your Order.
5.4 Delivery: Any delivery times provided for Tiffin Meal orders are estimates and not guaranteed. The actual delivery time may be affected by factors beyond our control, such as traffic, weather conditions, or order volume. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure your Tiffin Meal is delivered in a timely manner, and the App may provide updates or tracking information, but you acknowledge that delays are possible.
5.5 Order Cancellation (Tiffin Meals): You may cancel a Tiffin Meal Order at any time before the Tiffin Provider has begun preparing your food. If you attempt to cancel an Order after the provider has started preparation, the cancellation may not be accepted, and you may be charged the full amount for that Order. We reserve the right to determine whether an Order can be canceled without charge, based on communication with the Tiffin Provider and the status of the preparation.
5.6 Catering Orders (Event Catering Services): The following additional terms apply when you use the App’s catering service to arrange event catering with Tiffin Providers:
5.6.1 Quote Requests: To request a Catering Order, you will provide details of your event through the App’s catering section. This includes selecting desired dishes or a menu, specifying the number of guests, the event date, the delivery or collection time, the event location (if delivery is needed), and any special requests or dietary requirements. Once you submit this catering request, it is sent to your chosen Tiffin Provider (catering vendor) for review. At this stage, you are not yet charged and no binding contract is formed; it is simply a request for a Quote.
5.6.2 Vendor Response and Quote: The Tiffin Provider will review your catering request and check availability (via their calendar or schedule). The provider may then respond in one of two ways: (a) by providing a Quote for your requested catering (meaning they are able and willing to cater your event under the terms specified), or (b) by declining the request (for example, if they are unavailable on that date or cannot meet the requirements). We will notify you through the App once the provider responds. If a Quote is provided, it will include details such as the proposed menu/items, the total price for the event, and any specific conditions or notes. The Quote is considered an offer by the provider to perform the catering at the stated price. Acceptance of Quote: To accept the provider’s Quote and proceed with the order, you must pay the required Deposit (see Section 5.6.3). Until the Deposit is paid, the Quote is not confirmed and the provider is not obligated to hold the date or perform the service.
5.6.3 Deposit Payment: Upon accepting a Quote, you will be prompted to pay a Deposit equal to fifty percent (50%) of the quoted total price to secure your booking. This Deposit payment is made through the App using our secure payment processor (e.g., Stripe). By paying the Deposit, you confirm your acceptance of the Quote, and a binding agreement for the catering service is formed between you and the Tiffin Provider. The Deposit serves to secure the Tiffin Provider’s commitment for your event date and covers initial preparation costs. Deposit Refunds: Please note that Deposits are generally non-refundable if you cancel the Catering Order (see Section 5.6.6 on Cancellation), except in cases required by law or where we, in our discretion, agree to refund (for example, in certain extenuating circumstances).
5.6.4 Final Payment: The remaining 50% balance of the catering order (the Final Payment) will be charged automatically seven (7) days before the event date. This Final Payment will be processed to the same payment method you used for the Deposit (unless you update your payment method before the charge date). We will send you a reminder notification before charging the Final Payment. By accepting the Quote and paying the Deposit, you authorize Tiffin Time (through our payment processor) to charge your saved payment method for the Final Payment on the scheduled date. Payment Failure: You are responsible for ensuring your payment method remains valid and has sufficient funds for the Final Payment. If the automatic charge for the Final Payment is declined or fails, we will attempt to notify you promptly. You must update your payment information or make alternative arrangements within 48 hours of such notice. If you do not successfully make the Final Payment within a reasonable timeframe (and no later than 5 days before the event), it may be considered a cancellation by you, and we reserve the right to cancel the Catering Order and retain the Deposit as described in Section 5.6.6.
5.6.5 Order Modifications and Requotes: You may request changes to a confirmed Catering Order up to seven (7) days before the event date. Modifications could include changes in guest count, menu items, delivery/collection time, or other event details. All modification requests must be made through the App (for record-keeping and to keep the provider updated). The Tiffin Provider will review your requested changes and respond with either an approval of the changes (if minor adjustments) or a revised Quote (a Requote) if the changes affect the scope or cost of the catering. We will notify you if a Requote is issued. The Requote will outline the updated price and terms. You will need to review and accept the Requote for the changes to take effect. Effect on Deposit/Final Payment:
o If the price increases with a Requote (e.g., you added more guests or extra dishes), you may be required to pay an additional amount at the time of accepting the Requote to ensure your total paid deposit still equals 50% of the new total price. If not paid immediately, any increase will otherwise be added to the Final Payment.
o If the price decreases (e.g., you reduced guest count or removed items), your existing Deposit may cover more than 50%. In such cases, the excess amount will be applied toward the Final Payment, effectively reducing the Final Payment due, or partially refunded at our discretion.
Once you accept the Requote (and pay any additional deposit amount, if required), the Catering Order will be updated to reflect the new details and price, and both you and the provider will be bound by the revised order. If you choose not to accept a Requote (for example, if you decide not to go forward with a change that increases cost), then the Catering Order will remain as originally confirmed (and you and the provider will remain bound to the original terms and price). No Modifications Close to Event: After the cut-off (7 days before the event), no further changes can be guaranteed. Any last-minute changes or requests within 7 days of the event are at the sole discretion of the Tiffin Provider and may not be accommodated.
5.6.6 Cancellation of Catering Orders: If you need to cancel a Catering Order, you should do so via the App as soon as possible. The following terms apply to cancellations:
Cancellation by Customer (You):
o If you cancel more than 7 days before the event date (i.e., before the Final Payment has been charged), you will not be charged the Final Payment. However, the Deposit you paid is generally non-refundable. We understand that plans can change, so if you cancel well in advance, we may, at our sole discretion and in consultation with the Tiffin Provider, refund all or part of the Deposit if the provider has not yet incurred significant costs or turned down other business for that date. Any such refund of the Deposit for an early cancellation is not guaranteed and will be assessed case-by-case.
o If you cancel within 7 days of the event date (which is after the Final Payment has been or is about to be charged), you will likely be responsible for the full cost of the Catering Order. The Tiffin Provider will have set aside resources, purchased ingredients, and planned work for your event. In this scenario, the Deposit will be forfeited and the Final Payment may still be charged (or, if already paid, will not be refunded). We will consider exceptional circumstances (such as a family or medical emergency) and, in such cases, will work with you and the provider in good faith to reach a fair outcome (which may include a partial refund or credit) in accordance with Section 9.3 and applicable consumer laws.
Cancellation by Tiffin Provider:
o If the Tiffin Provider cancels your catering booking or is unable to fulfill it (for example, due to an unforeseen emergency or conflict), we will notify you as soon as possible. In the event the provider cancels, you will receive a full refund of all amounts you have paid for that Catering Order (both Deposit and any Final Payment). We will also make reasonable efforts to assist you in finding an alternative catering provider through our platform if time permits, but we cannot guarantee a replacement. Tiffin Time is not liable for any loss you may incur due to a provider’s cancellation beyond refunding the amounts you paid for the order.
We reiterate that any refunds or charges in cancellation situations will be handled consistent with our Refunds policy (Section 9.3) and your statutory rights.
5.6.7 Communication and Platform Use: All communication regarding Catering Orders (from initial request and Quote to any modifications or logistics discussions) must take place through the Tiffin Time App. This includes messaging or chatting with the Tiffin Provider about menu details, venue coordination, special arrangements, or any other order-related discussion. By keeping communications on the platform, we can better assist in case of any issues and ensure a record of what was agreed. Exclusivity of Platform Transactions: You agree not to circumvent the platform by attempting to communicate, arrange services, or make payments outside of the App for any catering request initiated on the App. Similarly, Tiffin Providers are required to conduct all transactions and communications with you through Tiffin Time. If you attempt to bypass our platform for a catering order (for example, by contacting the provider directly to avoid fees or to pay cash), you may be in breach of these Terms, which could result in account termination and loss of access to the App. (Providers who do so are similarly subject to removal from the platform.) All payments for Catering Orders must be made via the App’s secure payment system; you should never pay a Tiffin Provider in cash or through other methods for orders booked through Tiffin Time.
5.6.8 Tiffin Provider Obligations (Catering): Tiffin Providers who offer catering services through our App have additional responsibilities under these Terms. Providers are expected to maintain an accurate availability calendar and promptly either provide a Quote or decline a catering request. When a provider issues a Quote and you pay the Deposit, the provider is committing to deliver the catering service as described in the Quote (subject to any modifications mutually agreed upon through the App). Providers must perform the catering services with reasonable care and skill, adhere to all applicable food safety and hygiene regulations, and honor the specifics of the confirmed order (e.g., prepare the agreed menu for the specified number of guests at the agreed time and location). If a provider needs to make a change or cannot fulfill a confirmed order, they are required to inform you and Tiffin Time immediately through the App, and the cancellation/refund terms in these Terms will apply. Tiffin Providers are independent contractors (see Section 6.1) and bear sole responsibility for the quality and execution of the catering services they provide. Tiffin Time facilitates the connection and handles communication and payments, but is not the provider of the food or catering service.
Tiffin Providers
6.1 Independent Contractors: Tiffin Providers are independent third-party contractors and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Tiffin Time. This means that when you purchase food (including catered services) from a Tiffin Provider via our App, you are entering into a separate agreement with that provider for the supply of those goods/services. We do not direct or control the Tiffin Providers’ operations, and as such, we are not responsible or liable for the acts, omissions, or errors of any Tiffin Provider, including any failure to fulfill an Order or substandard service/product provided.
6.2 Quality and Safety: We require Tiffin Providers to maintain high standards of food quality, preparation, and safety. However, we do not guarantee the quality, suitability, or safety of any Tiffin Meals or catering services provided by the Tiffin Providers. Any descriptions or photos of food in the App are provided by the Providers and are for general illustrative purposes only. The Tiffin Provider is solely responsible for the preparation, packaging, and condition of the food (whether a single meal or a full catering service) and for compliance with food hygiene laws and standards.
6.3 Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions: If you have any food allergies or special dietary requirements, it is your responsibility to inform the Tiffin Provider before consuming their food. For regular Tiffin Meal orders, you should contact the provider (via the App or using contact information provided) before placing your Order to inquire about potential allergens or ingredients. For Catering Orders, you should include any allergy information or dietary restrictions in your initial request and discuss them with the provider during the quote process. Neither Tiffin Time nor the Tiffin Provider can guarantee that any menu item will be allergen-free (even if an item is described as “vegetarian,” “vegan,” “gluten-free,” etc., cross-contamination may occur). If you or any of your event guests have severe allergies, you must exercise caution and perhaps coordinate directly with the provider to ensure those needs can be met. Tiffin Time is not liable for any allergic reactions or issues that may arise from consumption of food provided by a Tiffin Provider.
User Content
7.1 User Reviews and Feedback: The App may allow users to post reviews, ratings, comments, or other content about their experiences (“User Content”), for example, reviewing a Tiffin Meal or a catering service. By posting User Content, you represent that you have the right to share that content and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You retain ownership of your User Content; however, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, and display such content (in whole or in part) for purposes of operating, improving, or promoting the App and our services. This license continues even if you delete your Account, for the duration that the content is archived on our systems or on the App.
7.2 Prohibited Content: You agree not to post any User Content that:
- Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Violates or infringes the intellectual property rights or privacy rights of others (including posting content that you do not have permission to use).
- Contains software viruses, malware, or any harmful code that could damage or interfere with the App’s operation or with other users’ devices.
- Constitutes unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, spam, junk mail, chain letters, or any form of solicitation not authorized by us.
7.3 Monitoring and Removal: We reserve the right (but do not assume the obligation) to monitor user-generated content on the App. We may edit or remove any User Content at our discretion, for example if we believe it violates these Terms or our content standards. However, you understand that we do not pre-screen all User Content and are not responsible for what users post. You use and rely on User Content at your own risk. If you see content that you believe violates these Terms, you can report it to us through the App or by contacting support.
Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Intellectual Property: The App and all of its original content, features, design elements, and functionality are owned by Tiffin Time (or its licensors) and are protected by intellectual property laws. This includes all text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, software, and databases associated with the App. You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our App or included content, nor reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of any software, unless laws prohibit these restrictions or you have our written permission.
8.2 Trademarks: “Tiffin Time,” our logo, and any other product or service names or slogans displayed in the App are trademarks of Tiffin Time or our affiliates/partners. You are not permitted to use these trademarks without our prior written consent. All other trademarks that appear in the App (for example, those of Tiffin Providers or payment processors like Stripe) are the property of their respective owners and are used solely to refer to those companies’ goods and services.
Payment Terms
9.1 Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods for transactions on the App, such as credit cards, debit cards, and other electronic payment forms as may be offered (all handled via our third-party payment processors). By providing a payment method, you represent that you are authorized to use that method and that you authorize us to charge that payment method for the total amount of your purchases (including the cost of Tiffin Meals or catering services, applicable taxes, and any other fees disclosed to you).
9.2 Fees and Charges: In addition to the prices set by Tiffin Providers for food and services, the App may apply additional fees to your orders where applicable. These will be clearly displayed before you place an order. Such fees may include:
- Delivery Fees: If delivery is provided for a Tiffin Meal or a catering order, a delivery charge may apply (based on distance or a flat rate as set by the provider or us).
- Service Fees: We may charge a small platform or service fee to help support the operation and maintenance of our App. If such a fee is charged, it will be shown at checkout.
- Small Order Fee: For Tiffin Meal orders below a certain total value, an extra fee might be added (to offset the cost of processing small orders).
- Tips/Gratuity: You may have the option to add a tip for delivery personnel or for the service. Tips are voluntary and go to the intended recipient (e.g., the courier or provider).
All applicable fees will be shown to you clearly before you confirm your Order or Catering Order. You are not obligated to provide any gratuity outside of what is offered through the App.
9.3 Refunds: Our goal is to ensure you have a great experience, but if something goes wrong with your order, we will work to make it right. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis.
- For Tiffin Meal orders: If your order is significantly late, never delivered, incorrect, or does not meet reasonable standards of quality, please contact our customer support (through the App or email) within 24 hours of the delivery/problem. We will investigate the issue by contacting the Tiffin Provider and reviewing details. If we determine that the issue is valid (e.g., the food was spoiled, or an item was missing, etc.), we will, at our discretion, either provide you with a partial/full refund or a credit toward a future order.
- For Catering Orders: Refunds for deposits or payments on catering are governed by the cancellation and issue resolution terms in Section 5.6.6. If you experience a significant problem with a catering service (such as the provider failing to deliver the agreed food or a major deviation from the Quote), please notify us immediately. We will facilitate a resolution with the provider. In appropriate cases, you may receive a full or partial refund of amounts paid.
In all cases, we aim to be fair and in line with UK consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights. If you are entitled by law to a refund or other remedy, these Terms will not affect that right. We also reserve the right to issue goodwill refunds or credits at our discretion in situations we deem appropriate (for example, as customer service gestures), without waiving any Terms.
9.4 Catering Deposits and Payments: By placing a Catering Order and paying a Deposit, you understand and agree to the special payment terms for catering services. The Deposit and Final Payment schedule is designed to secure the service and distribute the cost. When you pay a Deposit, that amount will be held (and eventually transferred to the provider according to our agreements with them) as a commitment for the service. The remaining balance will be automatically charged at the time specified (usually 7 days before the event). By agreeing to a catering Quote, you authorize us to charge your payment method on those future dates for the amounts due. If you anticipate any issues with the payment schedule (for example, your card might expire prior to the final charge), it is your responsibility to update your payment information in advance. All payments for catering orders are processed through our secure third-party payment processor (currently Stripe). We do not store full card details on our own servers; all sensitive payment information is handled by Stripe in accordance with strict data security standards (PCI DSS). In the unlikely event of a payment processing error or dispute, we will work with you, the payment processor, and the provider to resolve the issue.
Limitation of Liability
10.1 Disclaimer of Warranties: The App and all content, information, products, and services available through it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Tiffin Time makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the App or the information, content, or services (including food or catering services) provided through the App. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (but not limited to) implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the App will be free of viruses or other harmful components.
10.2 Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Tiffin Time or its affiliates, licensors, service providers, employees, officers, or directors be liable for any damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the App, or any products or services obtained through the App (including any Tiffin Meals or catering services provided by Tiffin Providers). This includes any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, as well as any loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, or the cost of substitute services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Tiffin Time’s total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the App or any Order, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the transaction giving rise to the claim.
10.3 Exclusions: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain liabilities. If any exclusions or limitations above are held to be unlawful or unenforceable, such exclusions/limitations will be modified to the least extent necessary to make them enforceable (and the remaining terms shall remain in effect). Nothing in this Section 10 affects any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Indemnification
11.1 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tiffin Time, its parent company, affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and each of their officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the App or services obtained through the App; (b) your violation of these Terms or of any law or regulation; or (c) your infringement of any rights of another person or entity (including any Tiffin Provider or other user). We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you (in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claim). This indemnity obligation will survive the termination of your relationship with Tiffin Time and the use of the App.
Termination
12.1 Termination by You: You may terminate your Tiffin Time Account at any time by using the account deletion option in the App (if available) or by contacting us and requesting account deletion. Terminating your account will result in the deactivation of your login credentials and your inability to access any services that require login.
12.2 Termination by Us: We may, in our sole discretion, suspend or terminate your Account and your access to the App, with or without prior notice, for any reason, including (without limitation) if we believe that you have violated these Terms or any applicable law, or if we cease to support the App. We may also remove or discard any content or data associated with your Account. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such termination or suspension of your Account.
12.3 Effect of Termination: Upon any termination of your Account, whether by you or us, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property provisions, indemnification, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) shall continue to remain in effect. If your Account is terminated, any pending Orders may be cancelled. If we terminate your Account due to a breach of these Terms, you may not create a new Account without our express permission.
Section 12.4 – User Data Deletion
We are committed to respecting your right to delete your personal data, in compliance with Facebook’s platform requirements and UK data protection law. This clause applies to all users of Tiffin Time, including those who use Facebook Login to access our services.
12.4.1 How to Request Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time. If you registered or log in via Facebook, one way to do this is by removing the Tiffin Time app from your Facebook account settings (go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites, find Tiffin Time, and select Remove). This action will send us a user data deletion request via Facebook’s systems. All users (whether or not you use Facebook Login) can also request data deletion by contacting us directly at our designated email or through the in-app account deletion feature (if available). In your request, please include sufficient information to identify your account (for example, the email address associated with your Tiffin Time account or your Facebook ID).
12.4.2 Processing of Deletion Requests: Once we receive a deletion request through any of the above methods, we will promptly delete your personal data from our systems, except for any information we are legally required to retain. In line with Facebook’s policies, developers are required to promptly delete user data upon request, and we adhere to this obligation. We will confirm to you once your data has been deleted, and aim to do so without undue delay (typically within one month, in accordance with UK GDPR timelines for data erasure requests).
12.4.3 Consequences of Deletion: Please note that deleting your data is irreversible. Once your personal data (and account) is deleted, you will permanently lose access to your Tiffin Time account and any content, purchases, or preferences associated with it. If you use Facebook Login, removing the Tiffin Time app from your Facebook account will also mean you can no longer log in through Facebook unless you create a new account. This data deletion process is designed to protect your privacy and fulfill our obligations under Meta’s Platform Terms and UK data protection laws, including your “right to be forgotten” (the right to have your personal data erased
Changes to Terms
13.1 We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by (at minimum) updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms, and possibly by additional means such as a notice within the App or an email to the address associated with your Account. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. By continuing to access or use the App after any updated Terms have been posted, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the App and may terminate your Account as described above.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
14.1 These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You and Tiffin Time each irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the App, subject to any rights you may have as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of another jurisdiction (for example, in the country where you reside, if applicable law so provides).
Dispute Resolution
15.1 Informal Resolution: In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy between you and Tiffin Time, we encourage you to first contact us directly to seek an informal resolution. Many concerns can be quickly resolved to both parties’ satisfaction by contacting our support team.
15.2 Arbitration: If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and Tiffin Time agree that any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App (including any services or Orders) shall be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify. The arbitration shall be conducted in English and administered in London, UK by a recognized arbitration body (such as the London Court of International Arbitration, "LCIA"), under that body’s rules in effect at the time the dispute is referred. Important: Arbitration means you are giving up the right to a trial in front of a judge or jury and to participate in class actions, and courts have very limited review of arbitration decisions. Opt-Out: If you do not wish to agree to arbitration for disputes, you must let us know in writing within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, otherwise this arbitration provision will be binding.
